The Heat Stays With Us....
Wednesday, July 30th...5:52 a.m.
A strong ridge of high pressure will keep our temperatures and weather very consistent over the next week. Highs will be well above average with lots of sunshine.
East of the Cascades and the Cascades themselves, will likely get hit with another round of strong thunderstorms on Thursday afternoon and evening. That will likely spin up some cloud coverage in the Portland metro area during that time and it COULD produce a few thunderstorms for us in the Valley.
The chance of thunderstorms continues each afternoon and evening through Saturday. The national weather service has issued a red flag warning for most spots east of the Cascades.
Remember, thunderstorms can be very dangerous. They can produce strong wind gusts, hail, heavy rain, thunder and lightning. If you hear thunder, find cover in a vehicle or building.
