Super Soaker Weekend in Store
Friday, December 19th...2:20 p.m.
The real rain begins tonight. Steady rain starts this evening and will last all day Saturday as a very wet air mass is aimed directly at Oregon. Most of the valley may pick up two inches of rain between Friday morning and Monday morning. Foothills of the Cascade and Coast mountain ranges will be closer to seven inches and in the mountains themselves, up to a foot of precipitation may fall in this three day period.
Portland may pick up an inch and a half alone on Saturday. That would break the daily rainfall record of 1.28 inches.
Flooding is looking more likely on the
rivers coming out of the Cascade and Coast Ranges Sunday/Monday.
